BONSU FURNITURE WORKS LTD is a Ghanaian owned company incorporated under the company’s code 1963 in 2004. The company has been in operation since February 2004 in general design and manufacturing of top quality Office furniture, Educational furniture, Domestic furniture (living room, bedroom, dining and garden furniture), Builder’s joinery (doors, door frames, architraves, windows, window frames, roofing, T & G ceiling) and Kitchen Cabinets as can be seen from our clientele / Project list . MANAGEMENT AND STAFF The Company has a permanent workforce of 120 for both our Accra, Kumasi and Min factories where Accra remains the finishing factory for all our major projects here in Accra and surrounding municipalities with supply of all our quality raw materials coming from our Min and Kumasi factories. Our work force is made up of experienced technicians, competent, trained and tested carpenters, machinists, upholster and sprayers where 90% of the work force are wage workers. Aside these are other workforce employed on contract and casual basis to ensure the delivery of our project and contracts on time The management of the company is under the policy guidelines of a Board of Directors while the day-to-day activities are carried out by a team of competent management staff. MANPOWER The development of any enterprise to a very large extent depends on the availability of well-trained, motivated and efficient workforce. With this in view, the company has embarks on recruitment and training exercises to equip the company with the requisite number of skilled workers. It does this as and when necessary to increase the manpower base of the company. With an expertise and a high level management team, we pride ourselves among the most sought after in our areas of specialization.
As a result of our credibility, we are appointed as an on the job training institution by the National Vocational Training Institute and currently Accra Polytechnic and many other Polytechnics for the practical training of their students. We also pride ourselves as a member of many trade associations including the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), and are registered suppliers of many cooperate institutions, government agencies, MDA’s, Banks and other private individuals. PLANT AND EQUIPMENT The company is adequately equipped with over sixty (60) different types of fixed woodworking machines across our factories to support any size of order. In addition, the company has many hand and on site(movable) tools and a standby generator in event of power failure and a Kiln to season timber to the required moisture content. We have also dedicated our Kumasi factory to the selection and well treatment of all wood used in our production including the sawing and treatment of lumber to all specified specifications ensuring the right quality is achieved always MAINTENANCE / REPAIR & WORKSHOP PROFILE We provide maintenance works and after sales service on all projects and products supplied and installed for our clients including repairs of major damages during installation as well as replacements where possible for all services. Based on our expertise and the very good craftsmanship we have maintained at all times, coupled with an excellent workshop profile based on machinery and equipment as our machine capability chart will emphasize , our clients always have a reason to relax as they have no problem as regards maintenance and after sales service.
